Did anyone else see David Letterman call Bush a smug SOB last light?
Edited on Fri Mar-11-05 01:18 AM by Melodybe
He did one of his stupid Bush clips and after the segment Dave looked at the camera and said, "In all honesty, he really is a smug SOB, isn't he?" It was pretty funny, it was not a joke, Dave meant it.

I love that Letterman can't fucking stand Bush.

1. .
Letterman has hated Bush since 2000. During the 2000 primaires, he used to say that he suspected that Bush was a "colossal boob." Needless to say, he was right.

8. I think he's disliked Bush...
...ever since Bush came on his show and made a heart pun and a joke about heart surgery...three or four days after Dave came back from his surgery.

11. also
Also, remember when Bush was on back before the 2000 elections, and during one of the commercial breaks a woman from Dave's staff came out to give something to Dave. She was standing next to Chimpy, and he reached over and used her shirt to clean his reading glasses. Un-freaking-believable!!!

15. I remember that - Dave said "what does compassionate conservative mean?"
And the Chimp was on remote and he started to snicker and he said, "well, it means that when we cut your chest open, that we sew it back up again, heh heh heh." And there was this stunned silence in the room. It was such an awful, awful thing to say. Freaking idiot Chimp.

16. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DAVE!
:loveya:

He Rocks! He consistantly puts down * and it is just the greatest! Also, Dave has tried many times to HONESTLY and BRUTALLY discuss * with guests...Howard Stern and Dan Rather come to mind...and it was SO aggravating because they just skirted the issue! I think they're both a bunch a wusses! Dave has guts! He's my kind of guy!

We should elect Dave for President! :bounce:

18. Saw Stern on Letterman's show a while back
He was talking about the fines the FCC had imposed on him and how he was moving to satellite radio as kind of a poke in the eye to broadcast radio. Stern wasn't a shrinking violet that night--he was slamming everybody in the * administration, especially Michael Powell.

It always impresses me that Dave can do the "Hey, tell us about your new movie" back-slapping, good-to-see-you kind of interview, but he can really ask some tough, pointed questions when the interview calls for them.

And as for last night, I just wish I'd seen it! Go Dave!

21. I saw Stern too
and IMO he was more concerned with his move to Sirius and getting people to buy into that then talk about *. Dave kept trying to talk about * and Stern kept turning it into a conversation about the FCC and Sirius. I felt frustrated watching the interview, because Stern was repeating himself, not letting the conversation flow and discuss what Dave was trying to discuss.
