Congressional Briefing with Military Families to End U.S. Military
Involvement in Iraq.
Did anyone in DU watch this on Wednesday, September 10th?
if not YOU SHOULD!

The second video listing. It is haunting to hear what the relatives said. At the end, rep Maxine Waters (D, CA) felt compelled to thank the press for being there... so sad to acknowledge the press is not interested in listening to facts.
I have not seen this reported anywhere. Have you?

1. I watched it
and it should have been on every news show. The horror, one woman's letter from her son saying they don't have enough vests for all the troops something like 30 for 150 soldiers in his group.

2. During the deployment and at the start
of the war, there were several stories about soldiers going out and buying better supplies for themselves, including kevlar vests. Sorry, I don't have any links. But it doesn't surprise me that a DefSec who wants to run a war on the cheap under-outfits his troops while giving the defense industry companies the big cash.

3. Major logistics fubar.
Shoddy contractors out the wazoo.

And a maniac's war plan that fantasized these unvested troops back home before now, sipping a cold one; and the cabal counting their dollars and votes while the black gold flowed.

The breath of screams from widows and orphans will stoke the heat in the hottest pits of hell for these monsters of war.

4. I am bumping this. We want to hear about the soldiers. This was public.
We could ask why isn't this in the national news?
