Has all the RW blather about "activist judges"...

created a atmosphere of kooks thinking it is ok to have open season on judges? I think it at least played a part. Any thoughts?

As Bushevik Law Enforcement trends more and more towards Soviet-style One-Party Law Enforcement, "open season" on Enemies of the State (some the Freepers openly dream and lovingly fantasize about) will become more and more prevalent because ALL PARTY MEMBERS ARE AUTOMATICALLY ABOVE SUSPICION.

We can already see the first halting steps towards this now. It will get worse, with the help of the Imperials.

If someobody hadn't suicided this guy and offered him up (as a patsy, a sucker?), I do wonder if this Bushevik "investigation" into a judge who was an Enemy of the State and NOT a Member of the Party, would have been tanked like other investigations into Bushfriends, such as the Right-Wing Anthrax Mailer and the Plame Leaker.

this isn't a new phenomenon. I know a judge that got both of his arms blown off in the 1970's by a pipebomb planted by somebody he'd tried and convicted for a relatively minor offense. The killing of judges isn't a common occurence, but it's not spectacularly rare, either. This is why most States have different laws for CCW for judges than the populace at large.

What's different is the way the media is playing this. ANYTHING involving the courts is huge right now, and gets massive coverage.
