1. need an option that says...
"By buying now I'm adding enthusiasm to the crooked oil business so the fatcats can sell their shares relatively soon, yet before I have any chance of knowing when to pull out myself."

2. I don't think you go to heaven by ignoring markets. If you use gas
then you might as well invest in stock because if one will make you burn - the other will too.

My point was that the best information will be acted on by fatcat insiders long before the common investor can get it... no matter how thorough or diligent she is.

The whole point of securities exchange is to convince others to pay more for something you're ready to sell. Small time investors are not invited to the fatcats' party, and they can never be.

The whole system depends on the masses constantly trying to catch up to the market-makers.

I cannot advocate blindly tying one's investments to one's lifestyle. I use some gasoline, sure. I also use toothbrushes and hair gel. So what?

I think the profit Johnson&Johnson makes from selling me my toothbrush is support enough for that industry.

Just because I consume something doesn't mean the companies involved with it are good investments for me.

5. We can surely try and make ethical choices in our lives. That is
what it is all about.
