1. It takes a lot of STUPID questions ...
... to have a 36-hour whorgasm about 'news' with so little long-range impact.

4. I must be stupid too
I fail to see why the feds should be involved either. Did he kidnap someone too? I admit to not following this closely but he murdered a few people and escaped prision. Those are state crimes the last I checked.

6. I didn't think it was
I think it was a state judge. The prisioner was guarded by Sheriffs deputies as was the court room. That much I got from the radio last night.

8. Maybe...
Edited on Sat Mar-12-05 12:38 PM by Scurrilous
...because it's alleged he killed a US Customs agent prior to his capture. Just guessing.

12. There's definitely more to this guy than meets the eye
He knows way too much about the system and how things work. I heard something about his parents possibly being US diplomats. Perhaps he was trained in certain tactics but he's definitely not your average criminal.

15. Nah
I just read an article. His mother was an IRS office worker type, his dad seemed to have employment problems. Just another victim of lack of opportunity, seems to me. He attended two colleges, couldn't get his shit together, find a goal. Job to job, crap pay, minor drug use. I can't see what caused him to snap, but he doesn't seem to be either a pscyhotic loon or wise, hardened criminal.
