Charles Krauthamer

I always thought it was a crime to make diagnosis of people without having a license. Charles Krauthamer occasionally claims that certain Democrats are crazy. Krauthamer always backs up his claims by saying he is a psychiatrist. I learned recently that even though Krauthamer has degrees in psychology he never practiced. So I do not think he is a real psychiatrist. Is it not a crime to claim that you are a psychiatrists when you are not? It it possible that charges can be brought against him?

Krauthammer may have a degree beyond his B.A. in psychology, but he is no psychiatrist. He is not qualified to diagnose people he has not evaluated closely. He is a loudmouthed right wing crank.

Look at his picklefaced picture and be warned that here is an unhappy looking man who really doesn't know what he's talking about.

Were he to act on his cranking and write prescriptions for psychotropic medications, he would be guilty of practicing medicine without a license. However, as it stands now, he's only guilty of being a whiny right winger who is stuck in a world that refuses to conform itself to his wishes.

I always get the feeling that that guy is talking down to me and really knows what is best for us all, or thinks he does.

But his sad story maybe explains why he is such a bitter evil man, full of hatred and always ready to applaud war and violence. If I remember his story correctly, as a young medical student, Krauthamer was in a diving accident that left him paralyzed and wheel chair bound. I believe he did actually finish his medical degree in a wheel chair. Because he cannot walk or I believe use both hand completely, he did specialize in psychiatry. But somehow he got sidetracked into writing and journalism and hence we are plagued with this bitter evil man. I don't mean to crumb on disabled people; many accept and embrace their disabilities and it does not affect their world view. But in Krauthamer's case, you can just tell that because his body was shattered at a young age, he enjoys fantasies of violence and destruction. He is one of the ugliest, most repulsive characters on the planet.

It is understood in the profession of psychiatry, of which CK is not a member, that one cannot diagnose or treat any person without personal interaction with said person as a patient.

Krauthamer knows this, but of course anyone who believes his judgments, which is what they are, not diagnoses, such people are willing to believe anything. Right wingers are consistently gullible.

Remember "bush on the couch" and the uproar from the bushies because the author had not personally treated bush? Same difference.

edit again, I stand corrected on his presumed psychiatric qualifications. Krauthamer is the epitome, however, of the person who goes into the profession of psychiatrity in order to figure himself out.

The advent of "New Science" and "new diagnoses of particular mental illnesses" to fit their victims exactly (and opponents) is a sure tool that psychopaths are in the house. Victims and Opponents are always emotionally aroused... because they are hurt and angry at the constant assault on their lives.

Whenever I read something about these neocons trying this trick - I laugh hysterically because it is one of the diagnostic tools used to diagnose and identify sociopathic behavior.

He obviously let his subscriptions to medical magazines and up to date knowledge lapse over the last 30 years.
