possible flame bait
Who here has the sickening feeling that Regardless of what we the people try, Hillary is going to be shoved down our throats to the point of no return until 2007 when she announces her run?

1. Mememememe!
:hi:

I do! I do!

I watched as the media controlled the last Democratic primary and got in who they wanted. By keeping a magnifying glass so large on Dean that one false step resulted in a cartoonish version of himself and by totally and completely ignoring ANY discussion of Gen. Clark, they effectively cut the grassroots off from the voters.

We HAVE to find a way to work around this in 2008 because, believe me, Hillary isn't going to flip one red state, blue and may turn at least one blue state, red, in a GE. Dems surely should know this, whether they blog or not! We NEED to find a way to reach out to the red states! They would like Dem values IF they ever got to HEAR them!

3. I have that sickening feeling myself.
And I'm certainly not going to flame you for talking about it.

Maybe the Democratic party really does need yet another disastrous election cycle to finally get some things figured out? Maybe they'll be ready to do something sensible by 2012?

4. The MSM would like nothing more than to have Hillary run in '08.
They love to choose our candidates for us.

5. I checked the odds on Tradesports.com...
and according to them Hillary is the overwhelming favorite to be the nominee; based on their odds she has a 46% chance. (Evan Bayh is second favorite at about 10%).

I wouldn't be concerned about any candidate being "pushed down our throats"-- after all, it is "we the people" who get to vote in the primaries. Certainly the MSM love the bloodsport of building up candidates and tearing them down, because that's what makes news. But in the end I think the primary voters are smart enough to choose the best candidate.

And I am not concerned about Hillary being the candidate-- being from the NY area I witnessed her absolutely flawless senate campaign first hand. She has been a first class senator, she is intelligent and politically savvy, and I think she would have a great chance of winning the election. In fact I know several people from NY who voted for both Bush (for president) and Hillary (for senator) in 2000.

11. shrub jr. was helped by...
being his father's son.

Isn't it possible that being bill clinton's wife is a huge asset for her.

remember that clinton won florida in 96... if kerry had won that state we'd be in a different situation today !
