Hey Freepers. Take a close look at the asshole you're voting for.
He's increased spending faster than any President in history.
He promised to end nation building, but is now the undisputed world nation-building champion.
He cut taxes enough so that Warren Buffett and George Soros now pay lower tax rates than the average middle class family.
He's taken more vacation days than any President in modern times, probably 10 times more than most of you have taken during his time in office.
He hasn't caught bin Laden.
He lied about WMD and Iraq's connection to al Quada.
He apologized to China for running into their fighter plane.
He bullied North Korea into restarting their nuclear program.
9 million more Americans are unemployed now than when he took office.
The stock market is still way below when he took office.
He's shipping American jobs to China and India through his insane trade policies.
He pushed through the most draconian civil rights violation package in history in the Patriot Act. If that had passed under Clinton, you would've headed to the hills with your gun collection.
He hasn't told you who bought the UAL puts prior to 9-11.
He hasn't explained why he let the bin Laden family leave the US after 9-11.

But you don't care about any of that. You think he's God's gift. How can you be such retards? If he rammed a red-hot poker up your ass and called it a tax cut, you'd thank him and ask for another.

He's given you at MOST $1000 in tax cuts. In return, the economy has probably cost you at least $5000 in raises. Remember the 90's when your wages went up 5% per year? What have you gotten the last 3 years? 1% and a red-hot poker up the ass, plus maybe an extra $500/year in gas/utility bills? And guess what? That $1000 tax cut you got is mostly cause you've got kids. And because of the massive state budget cuts caused by Bush's federal tax cuts, the cost of college is going to skyrocket. Start saving now, morons.

You people are really too stupid to be allowed to vote. Instead of actually looking at how the dumbass you elected is driving your country and you into the ground, you hang around DU trying to divide Democrats. Have fun, it will work until the Democratic convention.

Maybe someday, when a pink-slip slaps you in the face, or when you lose your health insurance, or when your company defaults on your pension, or when you can't afford to send your kid to college, you'll wake up and realize that you were really, really stupid to vote for Republicans, and especially for Bush. Frankly, I wonder if you'd even be too stupid to blame Bush then. One more sermon from Rush and another red-hot poker and you'd pull a straight R ticket again.

18. Actually

A poor man did give someone a job once. My dad owned his own business and was literally poor. He could not even afford health insurance and would eventually die because he needed bypass surgery he never got.

At any rate, he was poor and had two people working for him. He lived in a shithole apartment, but owned his own business.

POOR MAN...Gave other man job. Now that's interesting aint it?

They are trying to turn the USA into a third world country. If they have their way, someday, a few hundred rich families will control virtually all the land and wealth in the US and the rest of us will live in squalor.

However, I do know that the disparity between rich and poor in the US is growing every year, and that the elimination of the estate tax is just about the worst idea in US history. For god's sake, even Warren Buffett and Bill Gates Sr oppose that law. IMO, elimination of the estate tax is FAR AND AWAY the worst law passed by the pukies.

19. Well, I know the odds ain't good.
But I also know we have an abundance of freepers here. If we've got 100 freepers, chances are, 6 of them are currently unemployed, or soon will be.

It's mighty easy to bash the unemployed and the poor when you've got a steady paycheck. It's easy to vote to cut money for the unemployed then. It's easy to say national health insurance is communism then. It's easy to say tax cuts will cure all evils then.

It's a little harder when you are watching your life savings dwindle away to nothing, and you have to choose between buying health insurance and maybe losing your house.

38. You know Eloriel.
About a year ago, I read a freeper post. The guy was mid-50's with a disabled wife, and he had just lost his job. His post was basically a plea for help and I felt really, really bad for the guy, even though I realized that probably 2 days earlier, he would have pointed a finger at someone in his situation and blamed them for not taking care of themselves and saving money.

It's really sad that it takes something like that to wake some people up.

5. He has never explained his long AWOL stretch, while he
was sworn to defend America in the Texas Air National Guard.

He has never flown in combat, yet he swaggered across the deck of the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in a padded flight suit last May, while his PR banners proclaimed "mission accomplished" in Iraq. Tell that to the hundreds of US soldiers who have died or been maimed since he pulled that brazen stunt -- and then taunted the terrorists, "Bring 'em on."

With a prayer, I say "Bring 'em Home."

46. SpiralHawk, a slight correction if I may?

IIRC from my time in service and my reading of the UCMJ, being away from your post without permission for more than thirty days is no longer Absent Without Leave, it then becomes desertion. And in war time that can bring the death penalty, or at least life at hard labor.

This is something that we should make known lowdly and often.

50. I recall it being a little, tiny bit loose in the interpretation.
After 30 days, desertion was an available classification and charge, and often would be used. But I believe you could also go over the hill for more than 30 and still catch the awol charge, if you were nice, ya know, if you lucked out in your choice of commanding officer, etc. So it could be like plea negotiation. The death penalty for desertion was last carried out in WWII.

I think aWol's awol is the most important issue not covered, partially because it's non-coverage is so revealing and damning of the puppy dog press. And it goes to the 'character issue', of course. (straight face, with hard-to-control-raucous-laughter suppressed)

I can understand and even respect a really principled conservative. Unfortunately, most freepers have no real principles. If Bush and/or Rush think something is bad, freepers denounce it left and right. If Bush and/or Rush turned around the next day and said the same thing was good, freepers would turn on a dime with them.

It really is pathetic.

44. "turned around the next day"
A not infrequent occurrence.

I've sometimes listened to the meandering choo-choo of near sequitur thoughts from The Cyst, The Ham, and so forth, when I drive, just to help keep awake since it seems to kick in some 'alert' mode. Often they plainly reveal that they really don't know what they're talking about, and honestly, they truly don't know what it is they believe.

First I noticed it with the big, fat, stupid, draft-dodging, chickenhawk idiot. I thought that if you took some piece of a legislative bill, or a dry section of a report, that he had not already seen or heard about, and presented it to him (or any of them) and asked him what his position was, what was his case, his defense and offense, he would be clueless. He would have to call Hot Bill Bennett, or family man Newt, to find out what the 'line' should be on this. If he couldn't reach somebody, just wing it on air, and if you blow it and have to reverse, well, there's ways to finess that, deniability and all.

And they do it ALL the time. I heard Limpy do it in the same, long-winded sentence a while back!

I must have seen it wrong, knowing now that Hot Bill and Swinging Newt sure wouldn't have any honest, original thoughts to offer.

58. I've got an ID there, but I won't post it.
The reason I posted it here is that there are SO damned many freepers reading and POSTING at DU right now. They are the ones posting threads that begin like this:

1) I really like -candidate a- BUT
2) I just read this about -candidate a- it can't be true
3) I just got this in my email. Help me refute it (followed by an inane email).

Now, I know even the most rabid liberal (like me) might occasionally post something like 1,2 or 3. But, for god's sake, anyone that REALLY believes that Bushco is the worst Presidency in US history would seriously think more than once about posting crap like that.

If you are going to hit back at freepers, don't waste your time posting a rant like this over there.

Bush has done enough idiotic things that you can pretend to be a conservative and just bitch about all the non-conservative things he's done. Believe me, you will do 10 times more damage pointing out the fact that Bush is a 'liberal' than you would posting an article calling him a retard.

28. No they won't. Because their rage will be carefully harnessed
by their Masters.

Think about it. Did the Busheviks create Goebbels v2.0 and it's ever growing legions of Unthinking Brownshirts to let them go or to allow them to begin formulating thoughts on their own again.

No, my inclination is to think that, as the true nature of the Bushevik Occupation/Transformation of Amerika starts to hurt them personally (economically, socially, hey wherz muh unemployment check?!?) then I strongly suspect Uncle Karl has a plan for that do.

And what do you think that will be? Perhaps to keep people busy with "extracurricular activities" like their local Kitizen Korps or the Nationalized Neighborhood Watch. Got a liberal on your block? For the Good of the Country, the Emperor (through Ministry of Justice and Kitizen Korps -- our alternate goverment which will more and more take the place of the bankrupt old one as a line directly from the Emperor to the local provinces without need for the Imperial Senate) you'd better gather some information on 'em.

And what do you thnk the vast majority of Freepers will do? Their chests will swell with pride at their badge and their little piece of Imperial Authority. They will do what they're told. They will direct their rage at those whom Master tells them to.

Oh my, history has many things to say about where this is heading.

I might have the details wrong, but unless the Busheviks are stopped and the Old Republic is restored, you can bet this general ternd is goingto be followed.

Once you throw away freedom, your destiny is already proscribed.

I'd add the Harkin scandal and how his daddy got the SEC to mysteriously end the insider trading investigation against the chiseling shit. On the other hand that would be too deep for the freeps.

You could say "Where did Bush get the cash to pay his way into the Texas Rangers"? From the Harkin stocks he sold, after he was told not to sell them. And to think they spent 80 mil to investigate Clinton for losing 80K in a land deal.

31. Hey, he still owes $4 million to the state of Texas for that too, AFAIK.
Bush's partners made a low-ball offer to the landowner to build the stadium. The owner refused, so Bush had the stadium district condemn the land so they could get it at the low-ball price. It was pretty shitty, because they condemned WAY more land than was needed for the stadium, then build businesses and condos on it and made millions.

The original owners sued the state, and won. The state then sued Bush and won, and Bush has yet to pay back the money, AFAIK.

Bush hasn't made an honest cent in his life. Neither have any of his brothers.

54. If LTTE means letter to the editor, hell ya. Feel free. I'd be honored.

This was a damned rant. I'm just so tired of seeing the insert-dem-candidate-here bashing threads, at least 75% of which are started by freepers, that I needed to rant.

If I inspire an LTTE, it's an honor to me. Cut and paste verbatim, or improve on it, makes me no nevermind:).

I think your points should be shared by everyone here and sent en masse as part of the text in LsTTE. We should do it all on the same day to every paper we can.

53. You KNOW this the truth:
"He pushed through the most draconian civil rights violation package in history in the Patriot Act. If that had passed under Clinton, you would've headed to the hills with your gun collection."

My one time venturing over to Freeperland was right after PATRIOT Act II was leaked and I tried to reason with them and get them to admit that they would be screaming bloody murder if Clinton or Gore had tried to curtail liberties the way the Dim Son has. Nothing, nada. They are Borgs or they are not very honest or they are embarassed to admit it, but y'all KNOW we're right about this.

56. Honestly Sophree. I've seen freepers who are against Patriot I.
Quite a few, actually.

Freepers come in 3 varieties:
1) libertarians: social liberals (favor abortion, oppose drug laws and porn laws)
2) actual conservatives: favor balanced budgets, smaller govt, isolationism
and the vast majority
3) Bushbots: favor any policy favored by Republicans, just because Republicans favor it.

At times I enjoy debating 1&2. #3 is like debating a Nazi.

60. I agree, denverbill. The libertarian types are interesting.
And they can be uproariously funny when they take on the fundy Bushbots. Have you seen that happen? By the way, I live in the northern part of your metro area--assuming that your location is part of your screen name.

61. I hesitate to call them funny.
I think most libertarians have strong beliefs. I should know. I was a card-carrying member of the Libertarian party in the early 90's. Hell, I read Ayn Rand and thought she had the entire world figured out. She just seemed to make such good sense.

Unfortunately, Libertarianism works about as well in real life as Communism.

And btw, I don't live in Denver. I live north of the Denver metro area, in what used to be a small town:)

62. I just think it's funny when they go after the Bushbots.
Some of the Chimpy worship over there is so far out of control that I can't believe what I'm reading.

64. One Libertarian actually did respond to me
But he seemed to be in denial about B*sh and blamed all the PATRIOT Act/civil liberties curtailing stuff on Ashcroft.

I said that Aschcroft is B*sh's henchman and you all are falling for it. Ashcroft's policies=B*sh policies. Right after I posted that, they pulled the thread.

65. On China and the Bin Laden thing...
1) Wasn't that the incident where they were holding our troops hostage. If this is the case then I think that a small price to pay to get our hostages back.

2) Bin Laden most likely died at Tora Bora, you can't escape a bomb by 15 minutes rideing on the back of a camel.

3) As I recall Binladen's family dispises him.

Other than that you're basically right on everything. If he really wanted to have a $350 billion tax cut that would help the economy he should've given it to businesses in tax credits so they could expand and create jobs and provide healthcare for their employees. I wouldn't get so pissed off at Republican presidents if they'd do that instead of this $350 billion tax cut to mostly people who don't need it.
