Serious question about deteriorating international relations
Chavez open contempt. China/Taiwan. Iran/Syria and
approaching aircraft carriers. Italy withdraws. N. Korea.
OPEC loses control.

Is it possible that a consensus is developing that Bush &
Co. are insane?

If so, who could do what about it?

1. I'm Sorry, No one can tell Bush to keep his mouth shut. If he insults
a country, we just wait for the results and hope they aren't to bad.

2. A very good observation
You have made a very good observation, along the lines of something I posted here a while back.

What we have been seeing is a series of maneuvers and agreements between other countries regarding energy, trade and security, that would never have occurred without the Bush coup. And they all have one thing in common: they exclude, or go around, the US.

Our country really is the pariah state in the world today, and the rest of the world is doing what it has to in order to: a) provide for its own needs, b) create new alliances for defense and, c) create any obstacles possible to the continuing threat of a US that is "out of control."

I'm beginning to think that, once these arrangements are secure enough, China, Japan, and others with large holdings of US debt will "pull the plug" on the US by disposing of their US bond holdings.

3. Even the Voice of America is commenting on the anti-Americanism that
is running rampant in Turkey, which actually polls as having the most anti-America sentiment in the whole world.

Article is in the new World Media Watch...(URL below) There is a novel out about how Turkey is invaded by the US and a Turk then nukes DC and it's wildly popular...
