I can't believe they bought his lame story. Actually, I guess I can. The jury probably imagined it as an episode of Baretta.

Maybe the victim was so loathed the jury couldn't see past it...

17. There was no evidence, no gun, fingerprints, witnesses...
I think the only thing was the guys who said Blake solicited him; shit, OJ left a blood trail all the way back to his house, no way are they gonna put Barretta away...

18. 10 years later and I still can't believe the OJ verdict....
this is a little more plausible, although I tend to think he did have something to do with it. Too many coincidences. Most people don't leave a boatload of physical evidence or invite a studio audience to watch them murder someone.

21. I am not misinformed...
I think he did it; there was just no physical evidence to convict...

15. That's the thing, though.
I think his story was SO lame that the jury figured it had to be the truth. Like, "Surely if he was going to tell a lie, he could have made-up a better story than that !"

8. The second one, the one that was the most serious of the
solicitation charges. They were deadlocked 11-1 for not guilty.

12. I am blessed to have had almost no contact with this story
I was once addicted to the weather channel and Court TV in as bad a way as I am now to DU... I am sure this is a heatlhier addiction. But now I might be more likely to get struck by lightening.
