Bush's Freudian Slip Today. Amazing!!
Saw this tape on Olberman's "Countdown":

Bush is addressing even MORE soldiers today and says:

"Two and a half years ago...er, two years ago, our country came under attack..."

He's right! It WAS two-and-a-half years ago!!

3. I heard it a short while ago on MSNBC...
I thought I was hearing things but now
I know it really happened.

He is such a jerk, still cannot fathom
how we got such a lackluster, below average
intelligence, verbal fumbler in the WH. I
used to be so shamed by his ramblings in
public, but have given up any idea that
his inferiority can be hidden. The whole
world knows and they pretend not to notice.
The repugs pretend he is normal, foreign
diplomats pretend he is normal....its like
mass denial.

4. That would make an awesome flash file
Display the quote and play the audio, show the date of the quote... then fade into a pic/vid of Bush's inauguration and the date it took place. :)

5. What a moran
Rummy let one slip the other day too in his talk at the national press club.

He was noting the first national day of rememberance a month after 9-11 and said that it was: "a moment to steel our country for the war that was just about to unfold."

While in truth, I know what he really meant was: "a moment to steal our country for the war that was just about to unfold."

7. "To the max..."
I heard him say something about something "to the max"...

Huh? I've never heard a president use that term before. In fact, I don't think I've heard that phrase used by anyone older than 15. But then, I guess that's the FI's mental age.

8. His old man once forgot Pearl Harbor Day.
Like gangster father, like gangster son. Here's a bit from Bush Sr's day:

Old Poppy was president when he addressed the American Legion in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 7, 1988:

"This is Pearl Harbor Day. 47 years ago to this very day, we were hit and hit hard at Pearl Harbor."

The following has imprecise wording, as I'm going from memory, but essence is exact: There was an audible gasp and Bush halted. "Oops. Sorry. That's December 7."

I kid you not. Not surprisingly. Here's a source:

14. This is worse...
I mean, anyone can flub a date from 47 years ago. And Whistle-ass is certainly capable of flubbing lots of other random dates as well. But when you've just appeared at a two-year anniversary of an event, and the next day can't remember whether it's been two years or two-and-a-half years, you are a) clearly mentally-deficient (and not merely in the rhetorical "Bush is a moron" sense often expressed here) or b) you are committing a Freudian slip about something you know full well. Paging Dr. Sigmund!

(Anyway, "two-and-a-half years ago" works out to 3/12/01. Anyone want to research what Bush was doing that day, and who he met?)

19. ironic that Poppy would forget ...
I mean, he did fight in WWII. I don't know anybody who was alive in 1941, who has forgotten the "Day of Infamy" -- let alone move it all the way to September!

9. A "slip" from Powell too:
See the last sentence;
(snip)

Chances of nailing down an agreement this weekend in Geneva and at the United Nations in New York appear slim.

But Powell said, "I don't think there is a need to have a fight about this."

"Clearly the U.N. has a vital role to play," Powell said. "We've said this from the very beginning. And we should discuss and describe in the resolution what that role is."

Asked if the United Nations should play a leading role, Powell replied: "I said vital. I don't know what leading means."

(snip)

It's been obvious for some time now that NO ONE in the * misadministration knows what "leading" means!

18. He's a speechbot
It's because so many of his speeches either begin with or include the phrase "two and a half years ago." He's programmed to add the half.

22. Bush's idiocy is wearing thin, even on supporters.
One of my customers, a former enthusiastic Bushie, told me after Bush's speech asking for $87 billion that he is really thinking about finding a new candidate in '04. I was absolutely shocked at this admission and asked him why.

He replied simply, "Well, at first I just thought he was nervous, then I thought he was folksy, and now I realize that he is completely incapable of speaking the King's English."

:-)
