Cost of War
Some people seem to behave as though going to war is completely free of charge when in fact it has cost UK taxpayers £6 billion to date and the US a cool $156 billion. That's a total of of $168 billion over 760 days or $221,052,631 per day x(.

In the UK that'll be £6 billion from a population of 60 million or £100 sterling for every man, woman and child in the country - so it's already cost me £500 quid! In the States you're talking $156 billion (and rising) across a population of 295 million or $529 for every man woman and child ;(.

If only we had listened to the French and to the experts on the ground like Hans Blix we could have saved the entire sum and spent it on something more useful :-).

1. It's probably more than that, and it isn't over
This is the most costly mistake in the history of mankind.

3. The cost is more than in $
See www.icasualties.org for the human cost. Bush is a corporate globalist who could care less about U.S. citizens as his family has done for generations.

2. money is meant to be spent
think of the spiritual loss. The real reasons we are fighting this war is greed. The elite spend money to make money... and it will only cost a few hundreds of thousands of lives over the next few decades. People are replaceable..

one day we will wake up.

5. There are so many ways to hide costs I think the estimates you cite are
very conservative. I wouldn't be surprised if the true costs are 3 to 5 times higher. I can't speak about your government, but I can say for a fact the lying, cheating, stealing bastards running ours don't give a shit what this is costing the entire world in wasted resources.

A good deal of our citizens can't connect the dots that the increase of taxes and so called fees at the local levels are a direct result of our federal government throwing money into a hole in the fucking sand.

But there are reasons why a good majority of us can't connect the dots. Some of these are because we are so busy trying to prove cartoon characters are gay, attempting to turn the bible into a science text book, attempting to find out why steroid use is happening in sports while ignoring our own ignorant conduct that kind of encourages it and following trials about murder, rape and child abuse like none of the shit has ever happen before or isn't still going on right now.
