I met Al Franken yesterday!!

I went to the AAR-Al Franken show your when it stopped in Phoenix yesterday. It was great, had a good time, but the highlight of my day was when I got Al to sigh my copy of Liars and had a chance to talk to him. He is great!!

I wanted to go and then I even forgot to listen yesterday! Idiot! I like Al's road shows. He's much better with a live audience. Were there any local special guests? I was hoping Janet would pop in :-) .

I met him on his book tour in 2003. Standing room only. He starts off with an "I'm sorry I'm so popular!" It took 2 hours to get my LALLWTT, Rush...Idiot, Why not Me, and SNL's 25th Anniversary DVD signed. He looks at all that with wide open eyes, and I say "Yeah. I'm not much of a fan." He laughs his famous cackle as the book store goon moves me along.:D
