Now YOU can make $$$ from the war in Iraq! (Not satire)
Edited on Thu Mar-17-05 10:40 AM by brainshrub
Have you always wanted to be a war-profiteer? Do you want to make money from killing, theft and torture? Are you the kind of person who is so morally bereft that you can justify anything as long as it makes you a buck? Do you believe what the Bush Administration tells you about what is actually going on in Iraq?

In the past people needed family connections or the willingness to partake in combat to profit from war. Not any more! Now, thanks to BetOnIraq.com you can sink your life savings into currency speculation and invest in Iraqi Dinars.

When Iraq is a stable country the value of the dinar will sky-rocket, and you will make a killing without being exposed to Depleted Uranium. What could be a safer investment? The Bush Administration says that freedom is on the march in the Middle East... it's not like they would lie!

Consider this scenario:

...
"Let's say you decide to err on the side of Iraqi prosperity. You take advantage of the 100 year low value and buy 2 million Iraqi dinars. You look them over, admire them, and show them to some friends as a curiosity. The security features alone will have them enthralled. Then you stick them in a closet and go about your life."

"A few years from now, you see a program on A&E portraying the lives of average Iraqis. You see people drinking locally bottled, genuine Pepsi Cola; not the ersatz they'd been consuming for years. They are buying their cars from Baghdad Mitsubishi."

"You discover that things are going well enough in Iraq to have raised the value of the the dinar to one US cent. Your $2100 purchase would now be valued at $20,000."

(Actual quote from BetOnIraq.com)
...

Hoo Ah! While your liberal-commie-peacenic neighbors are working at Wal-Mart as their house is being foreclosed, you are able to buy even more American flags for your SUV!

So do your patriotic duty and bet invest your hard earned loot in the Iraqi dinar. What are you scared of?

1. It's deeper than the "investor" class. Watch TV advertisements.
IT Technical Institute, for example, advertises, here in K.C., with little mini bios about their students' success stories. Said stories always say something about how "I was going nowhere until I hooked up with IT Technical Institute, and now . . . . " I can think of three of these ads in which the " . . . and now . . . " is filled in with things like "I maintain test equipment for munitions' production" or "I manage a help desk for defense contractors" or other similar military related civilian jobs. These ads then go on to describe what their lives are like now with stuff like scuba diving, motorcycles, and cool cars, all very attractive to the young.

The military industrial complex is rooting itself in the middle-class jobs base. People, reacting to decline in the kinds of jobs they want, will be less likely to resist war and more likely to vote for war makers as global economic evolution changes the jobs climate in the U.S.
