Just remember, Americans: You may live in a messed-up nation, but it is NOTHING compared to North Korea, I just wish someone could do something about it! It sickens me so much what they go through!

If there's any constant about such regimes, that constant is that people will quietly subvert it in any way they can. That is what brought down the soviet union -- blue jeans and rock n roll -- not Raygun's confrontation and military build up.

If we had worked to support such cultural resistance in Cuba forty years ago, the Cubans would have booted Fidel twenty years ago.

People want freedom, dignity, peace and security. Authoritarians only offer security, and damn little of that.

What sickens me is seeing us move more toward security, and farther from freedom, dignity and peace.
