If anyone needs a pick me up...

check out the Moveon.org rally yesterday in support of the filibuster. Its seriously one of the most inspiring things I've ever seen. Senator Boxer and Schumer in particular gave truly historic speeches IMO.

We passed out flyers and got people to call yesterday in front of the post office. No one, not a single person had even heard about the Repukes planned nuclear option.

The nuclear option would really poison the well as far as bipartisanship and cooperation goes in the senate chambers. Given the degree of opposition that Democrats are putting up, they would likely make the GOP pay later for such a maneuver.



I told them this would be a temporary win for the republicans in congress and it would be turned on them, we need a court that is not partisan. Most understood that, only two woman got angry. One started screaming at us that the republicans have to do this because the dems have gotten their way for too long, the other said she likes what they want to do. For the most part though people were really surprised to hear what was happening and did not like the background of the judges they are trying to push through.

Is there any way to get some flyers within the next few days? Im in college and don't have a lot of money for copies, but I could certainly pass out material on campus

If you have an email list send the info to people. People aren't aware of what is happening.

some I haven't talked to in months. Some I only talked to once. Hope it works tho :)

Hopefully they read and talk to others about it. Word spreads. We have to be our own media, they aren't telling us anything.
