Is Bruce Willis coming around?
"I've come to believe the news is manipulated. On some higher level, someone is saying, 'We can tell 'em this; we can't tell 'em that." - BRUCE WILLIS

4. Maybe it's because he's rich
I never understood why rich people vote for liberals and why poor people vote for republicans. It's a crazy world we live in.

7. What?????
You don't see how rich people would vote for liberals? You seem to imply there is a symmetry between rich/liberal and poor/republican.

There is no symmetry. A rich person, with a conscience and a brain, should have no problem voting for liberals. For one thing, the stock market and business in general are actually better under Democrats and liberals. A smart rich person would have no trouble understanding that if the people on the bottom have more money, they are going to spend it. The rich can get richer off the trade. A growing middle class means growing business opportunity. Everybody can win. That's just the financial aspect.

There is no excuse but ignorance for a poor person to vote Repug.

9. I suppose If I was rich I'd vote
for a democratic or progressive candidate. But I guess I should say I could understand why a rich man would vote republican but I'll never understand why a poor man would vote for republican.

16. My 10 y.o. son asked me if I won the lottery would I be Republican
I just shot him daggers and he said, yeah I didn't think so.

My brother said that if I were a billionaire, I'd be Jon Corzine. He's probably right, but I wouldn't have the beard!

He's a dyed in the wool, hardcore Freeper. He doesn't like the "liberal media" telling "lies" about our Dear Leader, Il Dunce.

12. I've been holding out hope for him ever since
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 06:51 AM by BlueIris
I saw footage of his comments about the war, which he made from Iraq, when his band flew there to entertain the troops. He appeared visibly affected by what he was seeing over there (this was in early 2003) and not in a good way. It was only days after I saw these interviews that I started hearing coverage about his offer to give 1 million dollars to the soldier most helpful in securing the capture of Sadam Hussein. It seemed to me that he was there, witnessing the destruction and attempting to refocus the administration on what one of its stated goals with regard to the war was. I didn't see much of him during the election cycle and took that as a sign that he might have been reluctant to lend enthusiastic public support to Bush.

13. Maybe he's just realizing this
It's true, isn't it? I don't think the media is liberal or conservative. They're just profit-driven corporations, but I also believe some group is keeping a lot from us. There is so much going on in the world that we never hear about. We have to hear about crime cases, sports, fake heroes(like those on Survivor), fake celebrities (like Paris Hilton), and other nonsense.

Say what you will, but I don't think Americans are as dumb as some think. With the media going on and on about meaningless trash, propagandists praising the Lord God Bush 24/7, a corporate media that covers for him and frames the news in his favor, asswipes like the Swift Liars slandering his opponents. . .Bush still had to hire an actual prostitute to come into the WH to hold his hand during press conferences, and still, STILL, can't muster more than a 50% approval rating.

15. No. The MSM probably "picked and chose" what they would report about HIM.
He's a typical repuke. It's all about me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me. He couldn't care less about what his repuke government has done to this country.

18. Someone who cares more could find the source for this quote.
The link provided has only these two sentences, an excerpt of an interview printed elsewhere.

Not that Bruce Willis is one of the great minds of our time. Some actors are NOT very bright.
