Based on a campaign of mass pressure and persistent assertion of our rights, we have won an important victory today, securing the right to hold a demonstration on 5th Ave. But we have not yet won the right to march on 5th Ave.; we intend to pursue the legal challenge on the right to hold political marches and rallies on 5th Ave. and to overturn the city's unconstitutional ban on new marches on this important avenue.
