I pray that a Repuke congress never controls whether I exist as a veg,
or am allowed to pass peacefully. It is the most incredible outrage that these clowns think they are infinitely more qualified to make life and death decisions than the medical and legal community! My God, we have definitely walked through the looking glass.

1. Talk about a living hell.
Imagine your held hostage to serve as a symbol for a GOP/fundie cause.

2. I'm talking with my husband tonight about writing a living will.
The horror of being in Terry S.'s position is just too frightening to contemplate. Of course, if the Christian Taliban totally take control, these legal safeguards will amount to zip. They'll do what they KNOW is best for US.

3. The only compensation is that Schiavo
no longer has any of the brain structures left to recognize pain, or horror, or boredom, or anything that we think would be torture in her case.

The one person going through hell is her husband, who recognizes how little there is left of her and wants it to end naturally.

4. Then I say that I wouldn't want to put my loved ones through the ordeal.
Just the thought is chilling. One's family could be destroyed emotionally and financially, because the holier than thous would surely expect families to pick up the bill for their loved ones' mandated vegetable existances.
