My heart goes out to the Schiavo family, but the freepers...
are HILARIOUS right now.

I can't imagine what everyone involved is going though, I feel especially bad for the husband who is going through having this happen to his wife, and on top of it all being called a murderer by people who don't even know all the facts.

That said, freeperville is comedic gold right now, have any of you read the threads?

7. They pray for healing, wouldn't going to heaven be the ultimate healing?
They all believe that she will be fully restored in heaven with a new and perfect body, no pain, no problems, nothing but joy and peace. Why not pray, "God, heal her by bringing her home."

10. I don't know on this one...
I would agree if it was a ventilator or other machine, but this is a feeding tube. If removed, she will starve to death. This is a tough one for me. I think God will call her when He is ready.

15. It seems to me God already called her. It's her parents who
won't let her go home. And as for starving, God allows people to starve daily. I feel for her family. Please don't think I'm heartless, but it's the freeper intervention in the matter that has me in a snit.

5. Who does Congress think they are, anyway?
Which part of checks & balances don't they understand? The court ruled (more than once) that the tube can be removed. That should be the end of it. This is none of the Congress' business. I can't believe they actually expect her to be brought in to testify before their royal highnesses. She hasn't spoken in over 15 years -- they think she's going to start now? This is such a misuse of power I can't believe it. I was absolutely fuming when I heard about the subpoena this morning.

is as aware as her parents seem to think she just might jump up and ask for a burger if she gets hungry enough.

Sorry for the sarcasm but there is something truly macabre about the feeding frenzy (pardon the pun) that the RW is having over this.

By all means pray for her, pray for a miracle. If she really is in God's hands now pray for that miracle. If it doesn't happen, maybe God didn't really want her to live all that much afterall.

When we pray, we pray for what we WANT.

When God answers, he gives us what we NEED.

If Teri NEEDS to go home to Heaven, then that is what will happen regardless of what anyone WANTS.

"Not my will but thine" Jesus said this when he knew he was about to be crucified. He did not WANT to die but NEEDED to in order to save our souls.

How did all of these Christians miss that lesson??

Contact Gov. Bush immediately to call out the National Guard to prevent the local authorities from having to follow the Judges orders. Terri has the right to life guaranteed by the FL Constitution, and the Judge has no authority to deprive her of it under the circumstances.

FL Statutes allow the Gov. to use the NG to enforce state laws, including when there is resistance to or the inability to enforce them at the local level. (A natural disaster is just one reason he can call out the guard -- it's not the only reason.)

He has full legal authority to use this option. How many troops does the judge have? NONE!

I wouldn't wish this condition or these circumstances on my worst enemy. The parents will always see her respond, (in their eyes). Her husband will always believe he's seeing to her last wishes.

It is a family problem and the state has no damn business in it. It is a sorrowful conundrum.

Anyone can be kept alive by a machine. Do they realize how many people are taken off feeding tubes every day (I know four.)? This isn't an isolated case. If they're so goddamn concerned about the sanctity of life, why don't they make this big of a fuss for everyone else?

This is a sad situation on all sides--no one is winning here.
