the next time a prisoner is due to be executed, someone in congress should issue a subpoena for him just before the execution and claim it prevents the state from carrying out the execution.
They're also wondering how a state judge can supercede the congress - they should read that 10th Amendment they're always spouting off about.
2. It seems so long ago but I vaguely remember "states rights" as
something Republicans were for but they have done everything they can to get rid of states rights that I'm not sure if I ~ dreamed ~ it or it was real.
The marvel of this is...and any constitutional scholar correct me if I'm incorrect, you could have different committees offer different subpoenas for different dates...keep delaying the hearings and drag things on for weeks and months.
Of course the killer here is you need control of those committees. You only get this with a Democratic Senate and House.
