Each of you *must* consult an attorney to get a durable power of attorney for health care, so that when you're on your deathbed, or have the bad fortune to fall into a permanent vegative state, or have a fatal, wasting disease, or have become unable to function altogether and can only be kept "alive" by a network of hospital machinery...
You must have a durable power of attorney for health care in place that explicitly states, in no uncertain terms, that you specifically want **EVERY POSSIBLE HEROIC MEASURE TAKEN TO KEEP YOU "ALIVE"** -- no matter if you're in agonizing, intractable pain, or have become a complete vegetable, or are dying inexorably by degrees, and so on.
Regardless of the cost in your unceasing pain, or staggering medical expenses, or unspeakable suffering inflicted upon your loved ones -- it's time to lead by example.
