Michael Schiavo's Lawyer Is On Fire
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 04:42 PM by Me.
He's smokin! He was discussing the 'odious" attempts to "walk over the dying body of Terry Schiavo's for their political gain", by members of the house and senate. And he said that if the dems, not even one of them, can't stand up for people they deserve to be the minority party and will stay the minority part.

But his attitude is while he expected this from the thugs,he didn't expect it from the dems and it only needed one dem to stop it and no one did. He's calling out Kerry, Clinton, Leahy among others.

12. George FELOS for President
He BLISTERED our Dem senators, naming names------"Where was Senator CLINTON, Senator HARKEN, Senator LEAHY..." and a couple of others. Now naming KERY, CLINTON, FEINSTEIN...

He said that one senator who had stood up before was squelched in the Dem caucus to stop him from doing so again. FELOS said that this by the Dems was even WORSE than what the Repuke THUGS were doing.

He said that if the Dems don't stand up, they "DESERVE to be the minority party, and the DWINDLING minority party."

Senator (WYDEN?) is who stood up. Looking for correct name.

21. Congratulations. & NO, Lurking Freepers, We Are NOT Happy
"Congratulations" to Oregon for having a stand-up senator. However, his official biography keeps repeating "reaching across the aisle". And, yes, I realize that some bipartisanship is needed.

UNITED STATES SENATOR RON WYDEN
Biographical Information

In serving Oregon in the United States Senate, Ron Wyden pursues creative, bipartisan solutions to tough issues, offers unprecedented accessibility to his constituents, and stands up for Oregonians no matter the odds.

Creative, Bipartisan Solutions

Ron Wyden constantly reaches across the aisle to build coalitions on important issues. He works closely with Oregon's junior Senator, Gordon Smith, on many issues and at the beginning of each Congress the two produce a bipartisan agenda for their state.

In the areas of health care, technology, natural resources and other areas, Ron Wyden has produced important results.

Since his days as co-director of the Oregon Gray Panthers, Ron Wyden has been a respected voice on health care. He authored the first law to protect seniors from unscrupulous Medicare insurance scams and exposed the tobacco companies for hiding the addictiveness of nicotine. His bipartisan legislation reformed the community health center law to make vital health services available to thousands of poor families at no additional cost to taxpayers, and increased Medicare reimbursement to states like Oregon, which the federal government has shortchanged for keeping their health costs down. To help women fighting cancer, Wyden exposed and eliminated waste in the case of the Pacific yew, a so-called "trash tree" that became the original source of the breakthrough pharmaceutical Taxol. ....

27. No. We're not happy. But, we're not demagogues like the Republicans,
that's for sure. Only a Republican would even THINK to bring such an issue to the floor of the Senate when they know damn well it doesn't belong there.

Not because he opposed euthanasia , but to insure that this would not be a basis to change the law in Oregon.

Levin said that he opposed the bill too. They were the only ones.

26. That's what I meant. They SHOULD stay out of it, since it has no business
being part iof the Senate debate and the GOP demagoguing and using a braindead woman's last days to appease their base is no reason to dignify their antics with a debate.

I say let the GOP show themselves as the demagogues they are to the American people. The people didn't like the spectacle of Elian and they'll like this even less. NONE of them want to live like Terry Schiavo...NONE.

knee jerk situation they can demagogue. The Dems should hold the GOP up for ridicule for misappropriating the floor of the Senate to promote a RW cause that has already been dealt with by the courts.

Let the American people see how the GOP misuses its power. This is similar to the Elian thing where the GOP was way out of step with the American people.

30. I agree
This horrible situation is a no-win for every person involved--and by "involved" I mean family, doctors, etc. ONLY. I can't approve of anyone using it for political grandstanding, on EITHER side. This should never have been brought before the Senate in the first place. So no, I won't be writing any angry letters to my senators or anyone else's over it.

The lawyer's welcome to yell at whoever he likes, but no amount of yelling from anyone is going to make things any better.

who are acting like this on their own.

Damn media knows the politicization is disgusting, but they won't say it's just the Republicans who are doing it. They hide behind the word "Congress" so as not to offend their GOP masters.

Fockers.

if that was all they were doing, fine. but they are making a situation where a feeding tube has to be restitched into a sick woman's stomach for the third time. She's in agony and they are playing with her for political gain. And we are letting them. One voice would have ended this but we're making deals. NO ONE is concerned about this woman. If you've never seen what a feeding tube means to a person, then you can't know. Let her go. Someone stand up and demand decency from someone. We ARE better than this. Felo is right. Damn everyone on both sides of this.
