Take Action: Tell Senate Dems to stand up against politicizing Schiavo

"To: Senate Democratic Caucus

The Republican Congressional Leadership has set up a new and dangerous precedent by circumventing the judiciary and involving itself in the business of the Florida woman Terri Schiavo. While public opinion shows that Americans believe the Congress should not get involved, the Republicans have decided to politicize this poor woman's life.

The Republicans have shown complete disregard for the rule of law and the separation of powers. As the opposition party, the Democrats should hold the majority accountable for its actions.

We the undersigned urge the Senate Democratic Caucus to deny unanimous consent and filibuster any attempt to intervene in the judicial process.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned"

2. The Democrats shouldn't even show up and let the American people

see for themselves how the Republicans misappropriate the floor of the Senate for a RW cause that has no business on the Senate floor.

Let the Republicans show themselves as the knee-jerk reactionaries they are, just like with the Elian case, and let the public watch the GOP abuse their Senate power.

I hope the Dems refuse to dignify this hijacking of the Senate floor for the RW circus.

Dems should be UPBRAIDING the GOP for abusing the floor of the Senate.

5. I was really thinking of sending the Senate Republicans some
tomatoes since they seem to want vegetables from Florida so badly. I know that sounds crude but "persistent vegatative state" isn't too complimentary either.
