I don't get this uproar over the Schiavo case

I've been real busy today, peeking in when I could steal a couple a minutes.

I just don't get the big deal being made by the Republicans over this case.

One of the problems with this is the method: it is chosen to allow people the illusion they are not taking a positive act to kill, but only allowing "nature to take its course." Starvation and dehydration must be experienced as distress at some level even by the least sentient of creatures. The honest and forthright thing to do would be a calculated overdose of morphine....

Watch the totally inappropriate over-reactions folks have to things which do not really touch them. The shit spills over and you get ridiculous passion over stuff they really are not connected to. If they didn't, they might have to sit quietly and examine the reality of their own existence.
