Reports from Florida: Bush onlookers bullied off their own property.
Can anyone verify this? I've heard more than a few stories today from Central Florida that people who came out of their houses to see the Bush motorcade go by from their front lawns were approached by police and Secret Service and told to go back inside.

I know I can't be the only one who sees something wrong with this picture. Is this legal?

1. That's good advice.
I wouldn't want to be anywhere near him.

2. Wouldn't surprise me. The Germans were told to stay inside and not
look out their windows. Inaugural attendees were told not to look directly at him. The paranoia seems to be getting worse.

7. But we're not to notice nor mention any parallels are we?

It blew my mind when a minister, a really level-headed, laid back man, mentioned to me during our last county party meeting that he's really getting frightened. He mentioned wondering if "this is how the Germans felt early on", and I was surprised and in a way comforted to know that I'm not being the reactionary that I am frequently accused of being.

4. Legal or not, it's reprehensible

He's being turned into an extremist cult figure.

Last year, nobody could go listen to him speak at rallies without first signing a loyalty oath.

Now the average American isn't even allowed a look at this so-called elected leader who gets paid from our tax dollars, and is protected by Secret Service paid by our tax dollars.

What next, we're not allowed to breathe the same air?

6. Wasn't Orlando the place where the Huge Bush bulletin board was placed?

8. You say "the" Bush bulletin board as if there was only one.

They were (and are still) all over the place. I'd say about 40% of cars here have "Bush/Cheney" or "W'04" or "I support President Bush and the Troops" (as if they are a package deal) or "W - The President" (my personal least favorite) stickers on them.

And the biggest joke of it is that Kerry won Orange county.

9. oh, the irony!
The irony of your statement, "people who came out of their houses to see the Bush motorcade go by from their front lawns were approached by police and Secret Service and told to go back inside(.)" to me is that, according to my right wing, catholic cousin, there are Mary apparitions in which she says that as the end of the world nears, people are to go inside their houses, lock the doors and shut the windows and not even look out the windows, or open the doors to anyone who knocks on them . In my head, in your above quoted statement, bush becomes the evil passing by!
