The police said at the end of the polygraph he said you don't need to tell me the results. I know what they are, bring the investigators back in and he admitted it.

HOMOSASSA, Fla. - A registered sex offender on Friday admitted he abducted a 9-year-old girl and later killed her, authorities said.
Citrus County Sheriff Jeff Dawsy announced at a news conference that John Evander Couey, 46, earlier identified as a "person of interest" in the Feb. 23 disappearance of Jessica Lunsford, had confessed Friday after failing a polygraph.

After the test, Couey said, "I don’t need you to tell me the results; I already know what they are," Dawsy said. He then asked for investigators to return to the room and "admitted to abducting Jessica and subsequently taking her life," the sheriff said.

Searching for body
Dawsy said authorities were looking for Jessica's body in an area near Couey's home, where he indicated he had buried it.

During a burglary in 1978, he was accused of grabbing a girl in her bedroom, placing his hand over her mouth and kissing her, Dawsy said. Couey was sentenced to 10 years but was paroled in 1980.

finding out how to control sexual predators like this BEFORE they abduct and murder children. It's too late for that poor little girl and her family now whether they jail or execute this twisted soul.

I did an undergrad thesis on sex offenders...and learned more than I ever wanted to about them :puke:

My favorite supervisor liked to quote a faculty member from Syracuse, who said the only cure came from the barrel of a gun.

that we let these people out of jail to hurt and kill again. As many have posted, they cannot be rehabilitated.

It's even more disgusting that we fill our jails with people who only hurt themselves (druggies) while we let this filth out to walk the streets!

What are our values as a society, when we lock-up wounded people and let demons out to prey on children.

These are times when I really question my opposition to the death penalty. I could quite happily see this guy strung up by his nuts.

These kinds of cases are big tests. I don't care if he's executed, though I'll keep my opposition to having a death penalty since that's what is best for society IMO.

Really, a case like this makes you think evil exists, and that we aren't just life forms going our own way.

I oppose the death penalty, and will never trust the government to decide who to kill. But if this child's father put a bullet in the murderer's head, I would understand his actions.

Or maybe I'll play a game of checkers with him.

Your state and key words sex offenders. It should bring you to a site that you can search your area.

Heard abouit doing this when my daughter was young.She was about the same age as another little girl that had been taken from her own bedroom. :scared:

Mr. (short eyes) Couey will have a difficult time in the prison system. Child molesters/killers are often the target of "jailhouse justice."
