Who thinks that Governor Rowland of Connecticut got off light?

I do.

One year and One day, less than the sentencing guidelines.

He lied to the Court about a 400K retirement account.

He was making 15K per month from a contractor. Doing What?

His lawyer used to work for the sentencing judge.

Anyone else outraged?

When was the last time a politician in an executive position (ie governor or president) did time? I honestly cannot think of on instance in the past 50 years.

It doesn't really matter if he does one week or 10 years, he is thoroughly finished and disgraced. All of the money he made illegally has been penalized, so what's the problem?

The system worked.

10. Thank you. Backs up my point completely.

No governor has done one day of jail time in modern history.

Mayors, state reps, and few congressman are not in the same league, in my opinion.

The fact that a governor is going to spend any time in prison is a mammoth statement, and certainly not worthy of 'outrage' over the length of his sentence.
