Schiavo situation. I'm sure it's been said before, but....

I apologize, I do not have the luxury lately of searching through such a busy forum.

These same Republicans who are so uber-concerned about the "sanctity of marriage" are the same people willing to toss out the spouse's wishes in favor of the parents' if it serves a warped political agenda. If a parent's wishes supercedes a spouse's wishes then what is the point of getting married other than perhaps a few tax benefits?

The party that advocates the death penalty and invading a foreign country on false pretenses cannot turn around and position themselves as protecting life. They are not prolonging a life, they are prolonging a death. Compassion is utterly absent in "compassionate conservativism." I am beyond disgusted.

Please everyone....make sure you have a living will!

Against that example, the frenzy over feeding tubes in the Schiavo case is embarrassing.
