If you were incapacitated with a broken toe, would you want to be killed?
I've been noticing this carefully chosen "framing" word "incapacitated" used in this Terri Schiavo discussion over and over again.

Simply, its use is to distort Terri Schiavo's condition and make a very specific implication: that she's suffering from something like a stroke, that she's otherwise self-aware and if we pull the plug/tube, it's no different than killing a retarded person.

That's the argument that's implied by this word "incapacitated" and to address any question / comment using that framing word is to accept the frame for the debate.

If I were younger, I'd suggest we start a drinking game for everytime one used this word "incapacitated"...

4. Any drinking game that involves Republicans repeating a code word
or catchphrase would be very, very dangerous. I don't have that kind of alcohol tolerance (even though they are evil enough to drink anyone to drink)! ;)

Injury could be that stubbed toe or it could be mean half your organs were ripped out in a car wreck.

basically trying to equate her with people with Down's syndrome, and the like...
