My dad is from up north and he's been living here in the south for a long time (since he was a late teenager I'd say) and he doesn't have a southern accent like my brother, mother and I. :shrug: And it is funny how nobody else has a southern accent but yet Bushie does. :eyes:

...trying to 'do' a Texas accent. Some of his words sound, dare I say, Kennedyesque! Without the thought behind them, of course.

Reminds me of some UK actors on old TV shows over there trying to play Americans--they'd get it right about 80 percent of the time, but that 20% was JARRING and ruined the performance.

a co-worker of mine is from Dallas and says it is the worse imitation she has ever heard.

There is nothing remotely authentic about W, he's as fake as they come.

15. God, I've know that for about forever.
When he's talking to blue collar audiences, the fake twang gets thicker and other times it's almost not there. Then I've caught certain words he doesn't say right for around here.

Then again, he's NOT Texan.
