3. One is different
If mine is 1 of the 13, it doesn't give a flying "F" about the case. Rather it is a documenation of how the rethug media machine works.

I agree that there are way too many schiavo posts, people are so ready to start new fractured threads rather than keeping to one!

9. The case is important for reasons you may have overlooked.
It isn't really about one brain-dead, unfortunate woman in Florida, it is rather about whether our Constitutionally-determined system of government with its heretofore observed checks and balances can survive. It is about the very future of the republic.

11. There are so many other forums to visit if GD bothers you.
This is a vital issue. It is not about the woman, it is about Congress interfering in our personal rights, ignoring the sanctity of marriage, and violating the 10th amendment. It is about separation of powers and the respect of the State of Florida's laws and judicial decisions. The state of Florida laws have been interpretated by the State Courts, the matter has been heard and the evidence considered and the husband's (and Terry's) positions upheld by the Court.

12. that's because we're a bunch of suckers . . . doing EXACTLY . . .
what the oligarchy wants us to do, i.e. focus all of our time and energy on peripheral issues while they continue to screw us elsewhere . . . "Hey! Look over here!" . . . and while we're looking "over here," they're bombing, or passing draconian legislation, or stripping our civil liberties "over there" . . . this is something they're very, very good at . . . so good that even those of us who KNOW what they're doing still fall for it . . . sad, sad, sad . . .
