Republicans do outrage well.
Outrage over BJs...

Outrage over a movie about Ronald Reagan...

Outrage over boobs at the Super Bowl...

Outrage over steroids in baseball...

Outrage over Terri Schiavo...

Outrage about everything...

Well, except for important stuff.

3. not like they do
They've been planning their ascendancy since 1964. Part of the reason they get the media coverage is because they own it. That is all part of their strategy, and it's working.

4. I disagree
I think we act just as strongly if not more so we just do not get the coverage on the teevee. If we do get any coverage they always find a situation that makes us look like loons.

6. think about this

The Kerry campaign began organizing grass roots operations two months before the election. When our local Democratic party board member offered them a list of several thousand volunteers, they said they didn't want it. Rove began organizing the 2004 election in February of 2001. Kerry in Aug-Sept of 2004. And we're somehow surprised they turned out more voters?

Having worked on that election, I know first hand that the Democratic party has serious organizational issues. Howard Dean wants to do something about that. We need to help him.

They get coverage because they own the cable news channels. Democrats have money too. It's time we put it to use.

7. You have some good points
but, I feel our biggest problem is the media. If Air AMerica really takes off we may retake the country by storm.

8. television is crucial
but the media doesn't appear out of thin air. People buy media outlets. Why shouldn't Democrats?

11. I've heard that Al Gore has something in the works
but I don't know if it's actually going to happen. I sure hope so. If not him, then Teresa Heinz or George Soros should step up. Lord knows they have the money.

10. Our biggest problem is our corporate government
Everything else including the media is just a symptom of the problem. And the Dems are as much to blame as the Repubs.

5. OF COURSE they do! Because they can't govern!!
The pukes were much better as back-benchers. Give them a majority and they don't know what to do with it. They're much better at bitching, without having to decide anything. Now, they try to both govern AND bitch.

It's a bitch, ain't it.
