Is Tom Delay 'wagging the dog'?
Edited on Mon Mar-21-05 07:53 AM by ck4829
It looks as though the tables have turned on DeLay. Remember when Clinton tried to battle Al Qaeda and DeLay said he was wagging the dog.

It seems as though DeLay is doing the wagging.

When faced with accusations that he is unethical, he said Democrats were trying to obstruct him and prevent him from fighting terror.

Now, there is Terri Schiavo. DeLay is looking for anything to get himself out of trouble.

DeLay is wagging the dog.

(Off Topic - Many Christians believe Tom DeLay is a brother in Faith to them. I'm not Christian (Muslim), but DeLay is no Christian. DeLay's gods are Tom DeLay and the almighty dollar.)

1. He's not only wagging the dog, he's spinning it by its tail.

This is the most obvious political ploy I've ever seen. It's a shameful display by the Congress and our idiot president.

2. That's not just wagging
He's not just wagging the dog. He's taking a lesson from Santorum, and is furiously humping that puppy.

3. Yes indeed,

Thats exactly what i have been thinking. He just grabbed this little puppy of a show and is milking it to look all compassionate, and to distract from the ethics scandal. Bad thing, or good thing really as it was mentioned last week Delay was able to avoid a lot of heat over his ethics issues due in large part to his low national profile. Now by placing himself so out front and in the public, this puts him in much more plain sight for the general public, thus drawing more unneeded attention to him. I think he made a bad choice putting himself outfront so clearly right now, as i believe it is going to draw attention he does not want.

4. Bravo, sir!
I was thinking exactly that. Keep drawing attention to yourself, Hammer-boy-you're about to get nailed.

6. Yep,
This could really bite him in the ass in the end. One other thing i thought of.....when you wag the dog you are supposed to use a inflammatory issue to DISTRACT attention to yourself, not draw it right to you. Think about it, he gets up there all compassionate, and holy wouldn't that draw attention to the hypocrisy of his ethics quandry?.....Well, maybe if we had a real main stream press in stead of the complicit hacks we must suffer now.

5. Shiavo case tactic to point out need for up or down vote
and outlaw the fillibuster because the chances are that the federal court is going to rule exactly the same as the rest, in which case the radical right will scream bloody murder by Easter Sunday calling the court judges activists and urging the need to replace judges with Bush's nominees who promote a culture of life (which translate to courts supervising the goings on in the bedrooms of couples all across amerika).

Watch.
