4. can this be for real?
They are upset because the pledge of allegiance is being broadcasted in foreign languages? I thought the Right loved the pledge and wanted it said all over the place? Man, these people are messed up.

5. My two oldest children know the pledge in English and Spanish
because each day over the announcements it is recited in both languages. I think it is FABULOUS.

Juro fidelidad a la bandera de los
Estado Unidos de América,
y a la república que symboliza,
una nación, bajo Dios, indivisible,
con libertad y justicia para todos.

10. Holy shit, here's the Republican mindset in a nutshell!
"This is America, and we got soldiers at war," said 15-year-old Patrick Linton. "When you're saying the Pledge in a different language which nobody understands, that's not OK."

Since nobody understands Spanish or German, every time you recite the pledge in one of these languages, one of our brave soldiers dies.

STOP THIS COUNTRY, I WANT TO GET OFF™.

12. The Real Republican Mindset is That It's a Bigger Outrage
That we're saying the pledge in another language than it is that our kids don't KNOW any other languages.
