A Scenario to prove our Democracy is being Compromised
Edited on Mon Mar-21-05 12:58 PM by ck4829
2 people go to a trial. And, the Judge has said that he will be committed to rule in favor of the Plaintiff.

Would this be a fair trial?

2 Candidates are running for Election. The (Republican) guy who is in charge of designing the easy-to-hack voting machines has said he will be committed to deliver the votes to the Republican candidate.

Would this be a fair election? Yes or no.

1. You logic doesn't work.
The judge's rule is always going to be somewhat subjective. If the judge comes out and says he or she is prejudiced, you have a problem.

The task of the guy in charge of designing voting machines should be objective. A voter's vote is either properly counted, or it is not. So there is no question of prejudice on the part of the guy in charge of designing the voting machine.

In the case of the guy designing the voting machine it is a matter of fraud, if there was a hack. And if it's covered up, then the crime is compounded.
