Unbelievable! This was for regular unleaded about 30 miles outside of Seattle.

What are you all paying now?

2. 2.09 in Phoenix
Luckily, I live right across the street from where I work so I don't use much gas. Good thing, too, since I'm a starving college student who needs to save every cent.

4. It was only
$1.95 for regular at the station I noticed on the way to work...

But with all the news on the price going up, I'm guessing that latest increase hasn't hit here yet. It'll probably be up to $2.05 by tomorrow.

5. $2.06 60 miles northeast of New Orleans
but keep in mind the price raise is not bush's fault. Just ask any conservative. In fact, he's not responsible for anything. Totally amazing fact about the responsibility president.

7. Find the Cheapest gas in your area

http://gasbuddy.com

Prices are entered by the users. Good idea.

I paid 2.01 just before the big jump at the end of last week. Now the best I could do is 2.06 (If I needed gas).

Cheers
Drifter

13. Thanks for this
I could have saved money if I checked this before I fueled up. Just needed to go about 1/2 mile further. Good Book-mark!

Thanks again! :)

12. Circumstances. Y'all have a better transit system and are
cramped in tighter quarters.

If you can remember what America was like, it's suburbs and lengthy freeways and no room for bicycles.

Oh, I know how America is - visit frequently - all of Holland fits into the greater Houston area (Harris County)

10. Gas is cheaper now than it was in 1985. It could be worse,
Edited on Mon Mar-21-05 01:11 PM by HypnoToad
and will be. (adjusted for inflation, of course.)

27. That Was An Anomaly.
I remember because that was the summer I got my drivers license. Gas hovered around the $1.00 for years and for reasons I can't remember, it was around .56-.70 per gallon that summer. I loved it due to the fact that my (and all my buddies)car got about 5 MPG and there was a lot of cruising to be done.

11. $1.95 Covington, GA
Actually, I filled up Saturday at Costco for $1.92. Guess I better get a couple of gas cans and fill up some reserves of my own.

I would also like to note that my little urban guerrilla warfare plan is going beautifully. In my area, I've been putting little stickers with the following on them at any gas pump that I'm at. People are noticing:

"Higher gas prices are the sign of a failed presidency"
- Dick Cheney, 1998.

Really Dick? Thanks for pointing that out! Couldn't agree more....

NE Oregon.

Dh drives a diesel, he is planning on switching to used veggie oil soon... If the prices don't change, yeah right!

18. San Diego ...
very expensive gas. No one is winning with this administrations policy's except maybe the big Oil company's. Alternative fuel funding research is the long term answer to a lot of problems. Anyway most of the rest of the world pays much higher gas prices than us. Exercise is good. Ride a bike sometime :) .... Peace.

22. Does anybody know . . .
who is the ahem, "best" environmentalist out of the lot of the money-grubbing oil companies? Conoco used to tout that they double-hulled their sea-going tankers (which would have prevented the tragedy at Valdez by Exxon in 1989). I got to know a guy on the inside at Conoco who told me this was a fact.

But . . .

That was before Conoco joined up with Phillips (which was a really filthy, cheating environmental corporate citizen), so I don't know about Conoco so much anymore.

I don't mind paying a couple of cents more if a company tries a little harder.

Anyone know of a website where some stats could be found?
