It's absolutely sickening that the media covers what is, at best, several
dozen protesters outside Terri Schiavo's hospice with an army of reporters, but has hardly any coverage of the anti-war protests over the weekend throughout the world that each numbered in the thousands. Apparently one brain dead woman is more important than the hundreds of thousands of people killed in Iraq due to BushCo's imperialistic plans. Anyone who doesn't believe the main stream media isn't bought and paid for by the Christo-Fascist Republicans is a fool.

2. Terri Schiavo, hero of the brain-dead.
I feel sorry for her, that her wishes were ignored and she has been subjected to this tortured existence for so many years. Her case matters, but does it matter more than, say, stolen elections or the rape and pillage of Iraq?

3. It's just another way the Repugs get the media to cover what they want!
Why can't they let this "shell" of a woman die w/ dignity?

5. Perfect framing of the GOP priorities...
Save the "life" of one brain dead woman...

Kill thousands of people in Iraq...

7. Bush or Popular Opinion?
This is good example that MSM is biased toward the Bush Admin. All the polls I have seen show that the majority of people think that this is personal matter that government has no business in. If the MSM is just following the viewers lead on what stories to feature why this one? RWingers are in the minority on this and yet they still get excessive coverage.

8. And really, what's to cover there?
This story was old last century...
I'm always amazed when news orgs say they don't have the TIME to give to delving into the details on various stories that really require it, stories where real research and real historical reference could go a long ways toward educating the public on difficult issues...
Then they give hours and hours to stories like this one...
I get it, jackasses! The girl's in a coma, or something very much LIKE a coma, and the family's fighting about what to do...
And now, of course, our intrepid leaders have dived into the debate in order to distract the shit out of everyone, and preserve a life most agree would simply not be worth living...
But how about a little detail on Enron. huh? WorldCom? What really happened on 9/11? The mysterious fact that NO ONE remembers Bush showing up for his Natl Guard duties? The little-known news tidbit that President Pinhead used to torture small animals as a child, much like Jeffrey Dahmer (and MANY other SERIAL KILLERS) did? And what about Jeff Gannon? Who? JEFF GANNON! WHO???
And on top of that, the network news always give the weather-jerk 22 full minutes to explain to me EXACTLY how they evaluated a buncha high-tech impenetrable Doppler 17 data in order to reach their very likely WRONG guess on the likelihood of rain tomorrow... personally, I don't give a FUCK how they do this shit; and though I've seen this for years and years, I still don't understand what the hell they're talking about with high pressure and low pressure and winds aloft... you'd think we'd all be freakin' licensed meteorologists by now... and by the time they finally offer their conclusions, the actual forecast I tuned in for, I am by then, in all likelihood, fast asleep...
The mainstream news media is utterly and thoroughly corrupted; they are owned completely by the Control Boys...
Who will tell the American people this truth? And HOW?
It's a tough game, alright... thank god we've at least got the net.

9. With as much OMG! what NOW! press as this has been getting
I'm hoping a crew of 200-300 protestors would set up camp for respecting Terry Schiavo's wishes as ruled over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again in courts.

10. CNN seems to think that folks should stop protesting the war
at least the way the worded a poll question this weekend seems to indicate.

11. But those Schiavo protestors were PARTY MEMBERS while the
anti-war protestors are Liberal Enemies of the State.

Haven't you read about and seen enough Totalitarian Shitholes like Imperial Amerika on TV to understand.

Two dozen PARTY MEMBERS "protesting" (this was the case for the Ten Commandments "protestors", too) -- worthy of 24/7 Clinton's Penis Coverage.

Two million anti-war Enemies of the State protesting: silence.

It worked the same in the Old Soviet Union, Ferdinand Marcos' Phillipines, or any other place that shares Bushevik Values.
