I think the Schiavo case is hurting the sanctity of my marriage.
My heterosexual marriage, that is. I mean, if a husband can't make these decisions, then who can?

1. The Gay Couple next door might decide it for you! Eeek!
My marriage is threatened too because of the Schiavo case....and those Gay couples - imagine if they can marry?

(sarcasm off on the gay couples)....but your right about this case affecting spousal rights....amazing.....

2. And where then, do we draw the line?
If you and your spouse agree on a course of action for how either of you would like to die and someone disagrees with it, what other actions could the Feds interfere with?

Where you send your kids to school?
How you raise them? (You already can't spank your kids)
What type of sex you have? (Although sodomy is still illegal in some states)
What you're having for dinner?

The Feds are already working on involuntary mental health screening for our kids - just to make sure the kids are getting the right meds for supposed mental health problems.

Where does it end.

3. We already have the solution to this problem
More and more frivolous lawsuits. Frivolous lawsuits between husbands and wives are fine--it's when you sue a corporation that you are on thin ice. Just imagine if our caurts were all choked up with these sorts of cases - judges would have to dismiss corporate suits out of hand. It'd be great!
