Vatican criticizes removing feed tube but doesn't call for PUTTING IT BACK
Isn't the catholic church moderately opposed to putting IN life support systems? I thought I read something like that once, so it would explain why they're silent on REPLACING THE TUBE

2. They used to be against c-sections, too
But you never saw any Right to Lifers around screaming about how they let mothers and babies die "naturally."

5. When my mother had a stroke I asked for a Priest
He condoned the pulling of all tubes. My Mom had a written will requesting no extraordinary measures, but she was in much better shape than T.S. She was conscious and strong enough to pull the I.V. herself on several occasions. I still don't know if we did the right thing.

... you did the right thing. You allowed her to be in charge of herself.
I am sorry for your loss and proud that you had the strength to do what your mom wanted.
