Republicans continue long streak of letting their emotionalism show
Odd for a party that pats itself on the back for its "manly virtues" of coolheaded reflection and rational action. But consider what sorts of issues drive them, and consider their uniformly hysterical response to them:

The Presidential blow job

The little Cuban boy washed up in Florida

The possibility that Saddam might send a balsa wood toy plane with sarin in it to the US

The Florida couple's begging to control their shell of a daughter's feeding tube.

This is a party that has lost its mind.

1. And remember the RW talking point
Edited on Tue Mar-22-05 11:55 PM by Canuckistanian
"The libruls are ruled by emotions, not intellect and reasoning".
Every time I hear that, I want to scream. Er, although in a reasoned and intelligent manner.....

3. Exactly! They are experts at projecting their inner selves onto us
and accusing us of being what they are. Some do it intentionally, others do it viscerally, but they all seem to do it. I'm getting tired of being accused of being what they are!

8. It drives me nuts
I lose my reason and logic when they pull 'facts' out of their ass and sit on their moral high horse thinking they can legislate their morals and force their religion on those of us who don't WANT NO DAMN PART OF THEIR FREAKISH WAYS!!!! :grr:

Oh, sorry...I lost it.

:smoke: I'm chillin'

2. Yeah! Good Call.
And they have the nerve to stereotype and label libruls as emotional. Look in the mirror first, you tough, macho Rethugs.

5. They admit it - remember we are "reality based"
and they are - what? From that Suskind article. Reality-based being what's wrong with us.

7. Here is the faultline wherein a big old nasty wedge ought to be driven
Edited on Wed Mar-23-05 11:18 AM by BurtWorm
to separate the looooooooons from the constipated among the Republicans. I don't care if none of them join the Democrats or the left. I think it would make American politics far more sane if they just let their hatred for each other out into the open and let it drive them into two separate and weaker factions.

6. Conservatives are ruled by emotion
Edited on Wed Mar-23-05 11:13 AM by StopThePendulum
And this emotionally-oriented mindset is so thorough that it drives out any semblance of reason and faith.

Terrified of sex, death, free expression.
