Why not let Terri go to God?

I ask this in all seriousness. People who want to keep Terri alive seem to be playing God.

1. No, they're taking advantage of an unfortunate situation
and playing politics, its quite disgusting, and a real non-issue.

2. It boggles the mind, doesn't it?
I suspect God is getting supremely pissed about all this, actually.

Randi Rhodes had a hilarious but about God talking to Bill Frist yesterday. Let's say God was a bit perturbed...

That's what I keep thinking--let her rest in God's embrace. She deserves it. I don't necessarily believe in an afterlife, but I believe she's earned the right to find out for herself.

3. Playing God??
Gee, it seems to me that when the doctor's and nurses PUT the feeding tube in Terri in the first place, were playing "God".

5. That's a huge stretch. My father had a feeding tube put in when he was
hospitalized with cancer, only to have it removed a few days later when he was able to eat again.

4. I agree....
This is really sad and if people didn't love trying to play God she should have been at peace years ago.
The politics of this whole issue makes me sick.
For the last 15 years what kind of life has she had? To me that's not life, that's just existing.

7. It was never God's will that anyone die
it was also never his will that she stick her fingers down her throat and force herself to vomit everyday in order to be thin, which is what got her into this unfortunate situation.

What is God's will is that we stop chasing that which cannot add a day to our life and start chasing that which makes life worth living. Being thin aint it.
