I need to say this. Schavio/religion will bring the United States to a
second Civil War and I don't think this country will survive this time. I will not be surprise to find this country divided into 2 or more countries.

I say this today because as I was out this afternoon I saw two groups of people arguing about the issues. It almost became a fist fight. I have noticed their is no tolerance for ideas now at days. Heard from a friend of mine who had an interesting night last night. It seems my wiccan friend who was hosting our Muslim friend and her husband found rotten eggs being thrown at her home. later my friend was awoken by a phone call (which came from a pay phone.) demanding she get those bastard demons out of her house and convert to Christianity or sell her house that she was not welcome in her neighborhood.

I so angry at all of this and really don't give a damn anymore. I only hope I can keep me and my family safe while this chaos breaks out.

Peace

4. America
Has fallen badly. With people thinking science is a religion and IMAX films could destroy their belief in an Adam-Eve inbred bloodline, we're screwed. Most people now has about as much curiousity as a rock. They go along with Fox News, thier ministers, and watch NASCAR. For a society with advanced technology and science, we're about as dumb as rocks. The best thing we can hope for is the continued existance of colleges and hospitals as they are now. Otherwise, it's theology schools and faith healers.

6. You always wonder when yo see civil wars
Edited on Wed Mar-23-05 11:37 PM by alcibiades_mystery
How could they turn on each other like that. Certainly, the stories of cousin against cousin in the American civil war are familiar enough. I was more shocked by Bosnia, and the stories of neighbors raiing mortar fire down on their own neighbor, executing shopkeepers, etc., people they had lived with for 10, 20, 40 years. Absolutely mystifying at the time.

Not anymore, though. Certainly, the freepers have been feeling fine about taking up arms against my family for awhile now, but from time to time I get the feeling now, too, like I could imagine a situation in which I would go along with military options. It is the most frightening feeling I've ever had, and I reject it immediately. I'm more worried that I can kinda understand how the Bosnia war happened now, whereas before I couldn't see it at all. Weird.

7. I see things just the opposite.
It seems to me that Americans are more united about this issue than any issue since 9/11. I've met a total of one person who isn't for removing that woman's feeding tube. And I live deep in Bible Belt Bush country. Whether you're in Mississippi or Massachussets, most Americans want the government to stay out of this situation.
