3. This is out of character for them, something's up
Maybe this plays well with their constituents that have vulnerable House seats in 2006.

They are rallying their religious base for some reason and I don't know why - other than they plan on using it at a later date - when it counts with voters.

5. Have they given Teri a makeover?
She's wearing lipstick and earrings in that picture. I thought that maybe it was an older picture of her, but she still has that slack-jawed expression on her face. I guess they just photo-shopped her image to make her look like a live person.

8. Or they found an old photo that looks like the video they show
In some of her earliest photos, wedding and such, she's really quite pretty.

I think that is actually a photo of her before she got sick. Just not smiling, is all.

9. How the hell were they going to do that
when their in the minority. Yeah, that was going to change things. We couldn't stop ANWR, but we were gonna stop THIS?

And I thought they were the party of personal responsibility. Suck it up, gentlemen. Take your medicine.

7. i worry about the sudden burst of posts on this site to start a movement
to stop activist legislation and to keep the government totally out of our private lives. Yeah get rid of the patriot act.. but we liberals like our public good (often in the form of information on safety issues) attached to the market.

Roe vs. Wade was activist legislation.

Let us not let the Repukes turn this dog & pony show into gold by moving all the progressives into the anti-activist and states rights camps.

We cannot just react to their position and make that what we want. We have to remember who we are and what we have always done. If the Repukes manage to get us to change our centre..or change who we are... they have won.

We like activist legislation. It allows for test cases and for important laws to be implemented - laws like Roe vs. Wade.

Let's not get overconfident. These are psychopaths we deal with in the WH and they will exploit any situation to their benefit. They face no rules or assumptions. They will destroy us by getting us to vote for things that go against how we have always fought and succeeded ore the last 200 years.

12. What makes you think the GOP are losing this?
Polls?

The same polls that had Kerry ahead before Nov2?

How can this back fire against Bush?

Jeb said she was semi-conscious.

Delay said she can talk.

Frist says she asks for water.

GW says she should live.

When she dies? then what do you think they will say... Oh well?!?

This people have made unequivocal statements.

These people aren't fools. They know they have the GOPMedia and the GOPVoting machines.

What I think we are witnessing is a cover story unfolding.

10 minutes after she dies Delay will go nuke the senate.

In 06 the machines will sweep out the remaining obstructionists and the Heartland (and some Dem's) will believe that values voters crushed the polls again this time eschewing the culture of death.

Why would we believe polls designed to make us let up and think we've won.

14. So do you not want medicare, medicaide, SS, safety standards?
I mean don't backlash against the hate WH so much that you fling yourself over the a conservative (no you cannot touch a corporation or a rich person) philosophy. Yes get rid of Patriot act. Yes get rid of coerciveness of legislators by political operatives and lobbyist. But don't buy into the whole Conservative agenda.

Why would you copy all their positions? Liberals are for government intervention (not fascism..fascism like we see comes from Utopians). Liberals have been in power in most of the world for eons.. because they have great policies: trade, government helps the majority of the people and not just elites, international agreements, corporations regulated.

That is who liberals are. They are against USA interfering and undoing democracy abroad. Against wars of ambition. For wars of human rights.

Now is not the time to take over the conservative policies of no government. That is what Bush and Rove want?

Wake Up!!

10. Oh yeah, I smell it. Time for the big SMACK DOWN. 2005 here we come.
Hate to reference him, but Buchanan said * would be in the low 40's soon. Well, we're there. 43%, this is really pathetic. It's where Clinton was before the Grinch decided to shut down the Federal government; which appropriately outraged the public boosting Clinton's ratings permanently.

If he drops another 4-6%, he will have trouble ruling and he certainly won't be able to invade Venezuala or Iran (what will the neocons do for their next Civics Project?).

We are at the beginning of the ass kicking. People are lined up to take a shot.

It's time for the "last ride."
