I am sick and tired of the religious right sticking their noses into
everyone else's business, if it doesn't fit in with their agenda. I don't know if I'm agnostic or atheist - I don't believe a god or gods brought us into being, although I beleive that "something" got us started. All I know is, I have had it up to my eyeballs with the ones who tout religion and/or god is the only way of life for everyone.

Go ahead and diss me....I can take it.:bounce:

1. Dude, the Republicans believe in small government.
Where are you getting the idea that they want to meddle in everyone's business? All their positions are clearly enumerated in their platform, and we should take them at their word.

Please, get a grasp on reality.

3. Their Word?
Their word adds up to a big old goose egg. It is absolutely worthless.

4. Yeah, and I'm gonna win the fricking lottery
and not have to pay high taxes like the rest of them.

I can't wait for the revelation.

6. The whole point is to mess up the system enough so that we
Progressives react and say "get government out of my life". Which is what Bush & Rove want.

If we are progressives we like government intervention. Just ignore the right to lifers. Don't react. Let them drive Bush nuts with all their phony requests for interventions (only when the issues are vague enough to pay on in the investment of press time).

We like activism. It gave us Roe vs. Wade. It gives us many great laws. We like the government interfering where our health is at risk (safety issues on corporations). Karl Rove is an opportunist and just wants to see you backed into a corner where you think no regulations are the way to go. No regulations are what the neocons want. It is why Bush is destroying government. It is why the Repukes are creating tribal rivalries in the USA..so the masses never get together long enough to elect people who want to make their lives good.

Don't fall for it. Just ignore the issue. This is between Bush and the whole religious right to figure out. Don't change your belief in how government should be run: by the people, for the people...
