Poets, war protesters, church goers and other dubious trash
Edited on Thu Mar-24-05 07:10 AM by mogster
... hanging out with double murderers.

http://edition.cnn.com/2005/US/03/23/fugitive.caught.ap/index.html

"BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- In Massachusetts, he is a twice-convicted murderer who vanished after escaping from prison. In Illinois, he is a poet and anti-war protester devoted to his local Unitarian church."

What's wrong with this article?
I read it filtered through a third party source; a Norw. journalist had done a 'write off' of the CNN webpage and it was listed at the frontpage of a large Norw. tabloid.

None of the key words was missing, though, and the gist of it was presevered into the Norw. lingo; the double murderer hanging out with his evil leftist poetic and war-protesting friends in a church defining itself as "a progressive, welcoming and diverse congregation" is now caught and will be prosecuted. And hopefully, so will the folks that helped him hide. JUSTICE, people!
Let's arrest him inside the church, that'll teach them.

Oh-la-la - I mean; what else could one expect? I immediately felt the right part of my brain click into Kool Aid-mode, imaging the sort of environment of disruptive anti-social behaviour that would not only accept this man despite his previous actions, but welcome him because of them.

Such is the workings of modern day propaganda.

But I was thinking; what about the serial killer that was caught last month? Wasn't he a republican or something? It could have been interesting to see the CNN article(s) breaking that news and do a comparison.
Anyone got any links? I don't live in the US, so I don't even remember his name to search by.

Here's the Norw. article:

And here's the church webpage - looks like the kind of church I would want to go to, to be honest ;-)

On edit: typo, and added a synopsis.
