Six days and counting . . . how long does Terri have?

Last time the tube was removed, I believe it was six days. How much longer does she have, and how much warning do you think we'll get?

As an incidental, didn't the feeding tube also give Terri water? I thought a person could only last three days without water.

And people can last more than 3 days without water, especially if they're not moving and in room temperature.

Terri Schiavo may remain alive for up to two weeks and will eventually die from dehydration.

Her feeding tube provided TPN, or total parenteral nutrition. No food, no water - just a liquid mixture of nutrients.

3. I don't think she was on TPN...

Realizing it's a bit of a semantics, but I think her feeding tube didn't bypass the instestines (which is what parenteral means), but I could be wrong. I think she was on a gastronomy tube.
