...illegal and force doctors and hospitals to do everything possible to keep people alive even against the wishes of the dying patient, or at least until their funds and the funds of their families runs out.

I am beginning to wonder who has the brain damage here, seriously.
Much as my heart aches for ANY parent faced with this, her parents are obviously completely divorced from reality, whether it's due to years of hope/denial wearing them down, or if it's unsound theology/ideology driving them, or what...but it's truly tragic, and the screamin' meanie vocal mini-minority will make political hay out of this for as long as they can.
If we let them.

Jebthro's future in politics depends more on how his brother squeaks through the next four years.
