Was the country not bemoaning the targeting of judges just 2 weeks ago?

Everyone was going on and on about the murder of the judges' family in Chicago and the shooting at the Atlanta courthouse. Now all I hear are out of control right-wingers calling judges murderers and claiming that they are working hard to kill Terri Schiavo. Even members of Congress have implied that Judge Greer and the federal court judge want her dead. Where is our uniting president to calm the crazies? We're evacuating a federal courthouse? Why not just paint a big bullseye on their foreheads? It's no different than what they are doing.

I don't think that was the case at all. In fact, I thought it was a chilling effect on the Judiciary. However, the media found these killings another excuse for sensationalism which underscored the fact that the judicial branch of "our" government is under attack.

'Someone or another is gonna git 'em' is the message, and the right-wing is right there in the shadows of this terrorism breathing down their robes. The right-wing has long preached about the 'treason' of "unelected judges." The recent murders have only enhanced their diabolic cause.

5. I'm in Chicago and it was all the rage. No pun intended.

The judges' family WAS murdered by a "disgruntled" person who ruled against him. After the Atlanta shooting, I heard a lot about the security of judges. Of course then I had to hear about "The Purpose Driven Life."

That was my point. I was in Southern Illinois at the time and didn't get the Chicago coverage, but I'm commenting that the media coverage was very fundie slanted.

A "Liberal Judge" is a liberal judge, is a liberal judge.....
