Another misleading MSRNC headline...
I need to get some blood pressure pills

"Doctors disagree on her condition"

Makes it look like there are two evenly matched opinions on this. Of course every reputable doctor that has actually examined her comes to the same conclusion that she is in a PSV.

Reprehensible!!! But not surprising!

1. Other programs describe
national opinions as divided, as if evenly divided, etc.

2. "Balance" in a Fox News world
Edited on Thu Mar-24-05 11:18 PM by high density
The comments might be totally absurd and lacking factual basis, but they've got to represent both sides! :eyes: It's like how those "fact check" articles of the 2004 election season had to keep the "balance" by enlarging small mischaracterizations from Kerry so that an article would appear balanced when debunking the huge whoppers from Bush. By the way, here's a direct link to the article in question: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7288728/

5. False assumption: All opinions are equal.
Expert physicians who have personally examined Ms. Schaivo have one opinion. Talking heads on a biased "news" network have another opinion. These opinions are not equal.
